This is Stirfry Ninja's fault ... the fruit game ...

Argh ... more programming practice to be done ... mmm ... designing a class hierarchy ... or something. I better go read that bit again...
Updated .... Apparently I'm 67% geek ...
What's your Aussie Cricketer nickname? While we're at it, have a game of cricket, maybe you'll give England some options in their batting lineup...
Over here, we have the geek hierarchy, and over here, you can get your hands on some really special stuff... actually, that sounds more like stuff that might be found in the back of a Mad magazine ... maybe the rest of the Spy stuff would be more your taste?
I know I've linked this one before, but Orisinal has lots and lots of really fun games to sap up your time ...
OK, that's enough for the moment... a lovely bruise has appeared on the palm of my right hand, which I guess might be the root of the whole sprained hand bits problem ... thing is, the stuff that mum put on it (woodlock oil? - I call it yellow stuff) makes poor Decay's eyes water ... so I'm keeping that hand away from his breathing range for the moment...
This one's for the Stirfry Ninja, via The Ultimate Insult ... next thing, does anyone else remember The Garbage Gang Kids ? I think Decay's a bit old to have been into them... but they were the kewl thing to have in grade 5 and 6 ... (previous Garbage Gang-itude via mefi ...
I think I've done something weird to the joints in the middle and ring fingers on my right hand ... they feel sprained, or dislocated, or half-cramped ... it was a rather strange experience last night trying to hold a tennis racquet and hitting a ball ... Ahh well, in the end it probably forced me to be a bit more patient, seeing that I couldn't just hit anything with some power ... doesn't matter, we won all 6 sets and we're top of the ladder, yay!
Grandma's funeral was held on Friday morning, with other paying respects stuff happening on Thursday evening ... she looked scary laying there in the casket, with her face made up and everything ... actually she looked less scary than she did when she was still in the hospital bed ...
The whole ceremony was a bit strange ... the lady leading the proceedings definitely didn't speak cantonese as a first language, and so I had even more trouble following what she was saying for us to do ... I followed the parentals, and Decay followed me ... there was a lot of bowing and incense sticks involved ... at one point, the lady was speaking as if she were wanting to direct the entire speech to Decay, and poor Decay had no idea what she was saying ... it didn't involve green things like bok choy, or gai laan, or meaty things like char siu... I think he picked up the few English words better than I did, and I knew the addresses referred to beforehand ...
The proceedings continued onto the cemetery, with more food offering and the lowering of the casket, which we weren't meant to watch out of respect ... you know that point when you realise it's all over, and nothing's going to go back to what it was? Someone pushed into the funeral procession line when we were in the cemetery grounds ... I said they weren't allowed to join the line unless they had a wrestling video for grandma to take with her ... I dunno, I thought that was a bit rude of them, given they cut in behind the hearse ...
I'll be moving back in with the parentals some time in the next few weeks ... I dunno, I find the house a bit weird late at night ... during the day it's fine though ... it's just my over-active imagination ...
Trout A La Creme has its own lil fishy-type marketing slogans now! Yay!
And now, for something from someone else with too much time on their hands ... Traffic Signs of the World, including statistics on the number of rocks depicted on falling rocks signs around the world... Yep.

Friday evening, Decay and I were standing outside one of the entrances to Box Hill Central Shopping Centre, after doing dinner with my Dad, and waiting for the Stirfry Ninja to get stitches put in his head after a rough? game of indoor soccer ... Decay was having a smoke ... some dude was checking out my butt as he walked past, and turning back for a second look ... did I notice when he was doing this? Of course not ... Decay told me after he'd gone past far enough so he wouldn't hear ... (: I dunno, I still find it strange that people would think I have a gawk-worthy butt ...
But wait, there's more ... On Sunday morning, Decay and I went to pick up Mardi from the Airport, and while we were waiting for the delayed plane, having scored $14.00 worth of free food courtesy of someone's delayed flight departure, sitting on a bench eating hash browns and sausage McMuffins, this dude walking past (all business suited up and all) takes a nice long look down my top ... ok admittedly the top I was wearing does get a bit low-cut , but ... I still don't reckon I have any gawk-worthy body bits worth mentioning! I did notice this guy though, he made it obvious enough !
Anyways, some reading: 11 things not to say to an asian woman lest you incur the wrath of her evil glare ...
It's been a rather hectic few weeks, with the Bali bombing thing, the shootings at Monash, the sudden passing of a family friend's father, the a rush of assignments due in at the end of semester, and then the rush of exams at the beginning of the examination period ...
Then there's the whole thing about Decay's lease not being renewed, and the bro cutting his head open playing indoor soccer ... everyone needs a dose of concussion in their lives ...
After managing to make it through the exams in one piece, on Wednesday evening, Grandma went into hospital on Wednesday night for a checkup and observation ... her joints had been getting really sore in the last few weeks, to the point where she was having problems getting out of bed in the morning and also needing a walker to get around our small place ...
She never made it out of the hospital ... as much as she wanted to not be in a hospital and just go home, the doctors hadn't figured out what was up, and didn't understand what she was saying ... they needed my mum for translation, but all grandma would say that she wasn't in pain, and no it didn't hurt, even as she winced a little at the lightest touch ... some time between 2am and 6am on Thursday morning, Grandma decided she didn't want to wake up anymore ... Yes it was a bit sudden, but I don't know if I can say it was completely unexpected ... she's been around for a long long time, and she never wanted to have to live in a nursing home ... I know I say things about my Poh-Por about how she tells me to wear more clothes, get home early, be careful ... but I know she just means well for me ... who's going to rearrange the stuff my room the way she only can now?
Up until yesterday morning, the fridge at my place was still full of grandma food, and her room was still the way she left it when they took her to the hospital ... Mum and I cleaned up her room and the stuff in the kitchen yesterday morning... we found lots of things which we didn't know had ended up in her room ... I'm glad she found and kept a bracelet of mine ... I'd been wondering where it went ... I also found a picture of Decay on her bedside table ... I thought that was very cute of Poh-Por (:
I'm happy that grandma went peacefully though ... she didn't need to have any aching body bits anymore ...
Some stupid people, or maybe they're just covering their arses ... and be your own DubMaster DJ dude! Or if metal's more your style... Requires Flash ...
Um... I've had my first caffeine hit for the day... I think I need another one ...
Yes, it's Melbourne Cup Day, and I don't have an exam today... *shock!* *horror!*
Anyways, have some Paint By Numbers fun... courtesy of a link from Metafilter ... would you like procrastination with that ?
And, what we have here, is the sexiest sentence in existence... Indeedy ... and some case-modding dude ...
I better do something while I'm awake ... been horrendously tired the last few days ... having droidy fall asleep before 10pm does not make for much stuff done ...
Well, today's effort wasn't what I call spectacular in a good way... I didn't bring the Leo and the Tux today, quite possibly because they really didn't need to know about the horror of today's exam given the amount of study I didn't do last night because I fell asleep ... ! Making the best of a bad situation, I left early. I prefer taking my naps not in exam conditions ...
Anyway ... Friday Five time ... my brain's not settling (must be something else that needs doing ) ...
I can hear Decay's stereo system blaring from his car ...
