This evening's fun and games was to go see how the photos taken by Brett Jacques Photography turned out, and to pick out what we wanted to get for the parentals, and various other shots ...

The actual shots were taken on 8th September, a nice blustery day with much cloudiness ... not exactly the kind of day you'd want to walk barefoot on the beach but hey... took some shots by a brick wall, by some beach huts, sitting on a bench, and in a patch of reedy things ... The whole experience was really fun, not too much set posing going on, more of the non-repeatable shots ...

We saw the results of the shoot today, projected onto a screen. No paper proofs, but pretty damn good quality digital images ... definitely not good enough to enlarge and print off, but definitely good enough for computer screen viewing ... we sat there and picked through various shots, which one would go to the parentals, which other ones we liked ... neither of the pictures of just Decay, or just me turned out too well - without my glasses I have a tendency to look um... losted? It would've been really really nice to be able to afford to buy all the prints, but we haven't planted that money tree thing yet... can't find the seeds!

In the end we picked 6 shots, ready to be picked up in about a month's time ... we'll be getting a digital copy of the low-res pics used in the projection also, which we'll make use of somewhere on TGI... Rantspace ... so ... yay! There are now photos of me and Decay all together and everything! Decay found it funny that they picked up on the fact that we'd been entered twice ... fyi, I think it was B's entry that was picked out as the winner... (who was it who put my surname?) but I can't quite tell... I haven't seen much of Em or B's handwriting for a long time now!

Ok, I better get to doing some reading up for this here essay I'm supposed to be writing ... being distracted droidy at the moment...
